Operated by an A320neo aircraft featuring 162 seats (150 in Economy and 12 in Business Class), Flight AI 378 will depart from Delhi at 0110 hrs and reach Phuket on the same day at 0710 hrs. The return journey, Flight AI 379, will take off from Phuket at 0810 hrs and touch down in Delhi at 1050 hrs (all local time).
Initially, the service will operate four times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays), with plans to transition to daily operations starting January 2024.
Expressing enthusiasm about the new route, Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial & Transformation Officer at Air India, stated, that Phuket is a globally popular destination and a significant hub for business and tourism. They are pleased to include Phuket in the network, expanding the connectivity options and increasing frequency on both domestic and international routes. This provides customers with more choices and contributes to the growth of the aviation sector.
